BriteData

BriteData is a geodata analysis service that compares your client data against known information about each of your clients. BriteData cleans your data and provides a list of customers whose accounts should be inspected or corrected and ultimately results in lost revenue returning to you. BriteData gives you the competitive edge to identify billing errors and recognize lost revenue.

How Does BriteData work?

Businesses in many industries rely on a central billing center or database to store their customer information. Typically, these centers have an error rate of 2-4%, primarily resulting from errors in legacy data and customers who give fraudulent information. GDR leverages its millions of Addresspoints in its database and uses geodata analytics to cleanse all your data. Within 90 days, GDR provides you with a list of customers whose accounts should be inspected. When these accounts are corrected, the massive amounts of lost revenue are returned to where they belong - on your bottom line.

Who Can benefit from BriteData?

BriteData is particularly useful in the Broadband, Cable and Satellite television industries. These industries have large discrepancies between the monthly rates charged to commercial versus residential subscribers. By using GDR's BriteData process, customers being billed at improper rates are quickly identified.

BriteData Additional Services:

Address Scrubbing, Verification and Data Hygiene
This service involves comparing addresses within a customer database with GDR's source database that contains actual known point addresses and USPS address ranges. This service corrects addresses to the USPS standard where needed and verified as existing. Any customer addresses not be found in the source database, are listed as unverified. Duplicate customer addresses are also filtered out during the process and dropped into a duplicates table, which can be removed from the original database and archived.

Homes Passed/New Potential Customers
Based upon the above process, GDR can then create a Homes Passed/New Potential Customers address table. These represent the list of customer addresses that are in the serviceable footprint, but are not an existing customer address listed in the service providers’ database. Additional information is also provided with these new addresses, where available, such as resident name and business SIC code values.

The number of addresses in the service providers’ verified table combined with the number of addresses in the New Potential Customers table give a more accurate estimation of the true number of homes passed in a ZIP code and/or across the franchise. Additional uses of the New Potential Customers table listing include the following:

  • Target-marketing to addresses which were not captured in the existing billing system and to which service was never marketed.
  • Identifying serviceable addresses where competing services can or cannot be delivered.
  • Reducing the number of "exploratory" truck dispatches that would otherwise be needed.
